B. Inspired – Keep the Faith

It is the season of advent. Christmas is right around the corner. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family, friends and good food. Celebrating and entertaining is always a great way to get into the holiday spirit.

Catch any amazing Black Friday deals? I nabbed a few, but I am more of a Cyber Monday gal. The convenience of ordering from home and free shipping is a gift within itself to me!

The holidays can be tricky. For those of us who have suffered the loss of loved ones, divorces, family upsets or any big transition this year, the holidays can stir up lots of negative feelings of isolation, grief, sadness and even depression for some. It can sometimes feel like there’s a huge spotlight on the holes in your life. For others, nauseating amounts of stress, anxiety, pressure and fear all rear their ugly heads during this time of year.

The season of advent is about celebrating the anticipation of the birth of Jesus. During this season, keep your mind on grace, mercy and love. That is the miracle we received from his birth. Celebrate and be grateful for all that you still have; your health, your stable mind and best of all – your future. Your life is still revealing itself. If you’ve made it through an incredibly tough year – thank God for that. Beauty and wonder may just be around the corner for you. You cannot fathom the blessings that still abound. Stay in a place of gratitude and contentment. For it is with faith, anticipation and clear intent that we walk into a blessed life.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

-Hebrews 11:1

With Love & Light,
