Happy Friday, friends! It’s the end of the week once again and it’s the end of Winter. While some places may not have temperatures that reflect this transition, Sunday is officially the first day of Spring. It’s time for closet revamps, deep cleaning and first quarter goal finishing.
There’s nothing quite like Spring air, birds chirping, and budding greenery to renew our state of mind and get us ready for what’s next. The year is well under way now, so it may be a good time to take a look at your goals for the year and see how you’re coming along. I like to do a check-in with myself to see how I’m feeling about things. Maybe I have changed my mind about what I am looking forward to or perhaps this is the time to tweak my expectations. De-cluterring and clearing out junk this time of year is practically therapeutic for me. It serves as a mental de-stresser and helps me feel lighter and more able to focus on what’s important (instead of what’s lurking in that corner basement box).
This weekend, do a self check. Where are you with your goals? Clean out at least one drawer or box. Believe me, you will feel better afterwards. Make a list of at least 3 things you are looking forward to enjoying this Spring. Anticipation is sometimes the best medicine when life gets cluttered.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -Isaiah 40:31
